Our aim at Clare Road Medical Centre is to provide a full general practice service including consultations with a doctor or nurse. As well as confidential GP consultations we provide health screens, childhood immunisations, blood tests, referrals to specialists and home visits if you are unable to attend the clinic. Important Patient Notice

Please note the doors to the surgery are closed  to reduce the risk of the virus being brought into the surgery.

PATIENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO SURGERY PREMISES WITHOUT MAKING PRIOR ARRANGEMENT VIA TELEPHONE.

COVID-19

Repeat prescription

Repeat prescription service is available. Prescriptions requests will only be taken over the telephone during this time and via the online services.

All prescriptions will be sent to a Pharmacy of your choice, who will collect them from the Surgery.

Alternatively, prescriptions can be collected from surgery by patient.

Prescription Collction time: 12.00-13.00 or 16.00-17.00

 

Practice require a minimum of 48 hours (business working days) prior to collecting your repeat prescription.

 

Sicknote

Please note that the first 7 days of absence are covered by the Self-Certification Scheme

f you are unable to work for longer than 7 days or you are on long term sick and your existing certificate is running out, please telephone the Surgery.

 

Online self isolation notes launched - providing proof of coronavirus absence from work

People unable to work for more than seven days because of coronavirus (COVID-19) can obtain an isolation note through a new online service.

SELF ISOLATION CERTIFICATES can be accessed through the NHS website 111.nhs.uk/isolation-note

 

During this challenging time telephone lines are extremely busy, please avoid ringing unless it is absolutely necessary.

 

VISITING CLARE ROAD MEDICAL CENTRE

 

The health and safety of our patients and staff is paramount  at Clare Road Medical Centre.

We kindly request that all patients and visitors to the surgery arrive wearing face mask or face covering.

 

We are unable to provide face mask at the surgery.

 

Failure to this request may result in individuals being denied entry into the building.

 

All patients are reminded that we are not able to provide walk-in appointments. We are offering  telephone appointment in the first instance.

Flu Vaccination 2020

All flu vaccination this year will require an appointment. We will be unable to accommodate  walk-in patients for this purpose  and priority will be given to the most vulnerable patients in the first instance.

 

Please note the flu vaccine will not protect against COVID-19 and there is currently no COVID-19 vaccination available.
